Can I use Taply for free?
Yes. Free is for basic single-device POS use. Advanced restaurant operations are available in Pro and Ultra.
How are restaurant accounts created?
Restaurant owners create accounts in the web Owner Portal at admin.taplypos.com. After the restaurant workspace is created, owners install the iPad POS and iPhone Floor apps and sign in with the same account.
Do I need Taply hardware?
No. Bring your own compatible iPad/iPhone and supported Stripe/Square readers.
Which payment processors are supported?
Stripe Terminal, Tap to Pay on iPhone where eligible, and Square payment flows where configured.
Are payment processing fees included in subscription pricing?
No. Taply software subscription pricing is separate from Stripe/Square processing fees.
What happens when a feature is locked?
Paid features stay visible with upgrade prompts so owners understand what each plan unlocks. Active order and payment flows are not interrupted mid-service.
Who is responsible for tax setup?
Taply provides Tax Engine tools and reports, but restaurant owners should verify rates, taxable categories, exemptions, reporting, and filing requirements with a CPA, tax professional, or local tax authority.
