How it fits your day

Gmail,
with a clear purpose.

Send customer receipts from the Gmail account connected to your restaurant. Keep the sender recognizable after the guest has finished their visit.

What it does

  • Connect the restaurant’s own Gmail account.
  • Use that connected account to send customer receipts.
  • Keep transactional receipts distinct from marketing messages.

For your setup

Authorize the restaurant’s Gmail account for receipt sending and confirm the sender address. Receipt delivery is separate from marketing consent.

A recognizable sender for guest receipts.

Connect a business-owned account

Authorize the Gmail account the restaurant intends to use for receipts. Confirm the sender address and who is responsible for the mailbox. A business-owned account makes the handoff clearer when a manager changes roles or a guest replies with a question.

Review a sample receipt

Before using the setup in service, check a receipt sent to a test address you control. Review the restaurant identity, order details and sender information. Keep the guest’s destination address accurate, and ask the team how to handle a receipt that a customer cannot find.

Separate receipts from promotions

A receipt is a transactional message. Receiving one does not automatically enroll a guest in marketing. Review access and sending requirements with the team, and keep promotional campaigns in a consent-aware workflow such as the Mailchimp connection. Gmail account limits and provider rules still apply.
