Choose a reporting destination
Create or select the spreadsheet your managers will review and authorize the restaurant’s Google account. Decide who can view the figures and who can edit the workbook. Keep the destination recognizable so daily exports do not become scattered across personal spreadsheets.
Agree what a day means
Review the reporting period and the columns for sales, taxes, tips and refunds. Compare one completed business day with the corresponding Taply report before building formulas around the export. This gives your team a consistent starting point when discussing totals.
Build a repeatable review
Use separate worksheet areas for your own calculations and notes so the exported figures remain easy to recognize. If a daily result looks unusual, return to the source report and check the period and refund activity before changing formulas or drawing conclusions.
