Customer profile
Customer records
Remember more than a name.
A useful customer record gives your team a starting point for a more personal conversation. Keep the details you need within reach of the next sale.
- Keep details together. Find the right customer record and review their contact information.
- See the history. Review recorded visits, spending and sales associated with that customer.
- Look at the balance. See the loyalty points held on the customer’s record.
- Set a clear routine. Agree who can view and maintain customer information.
Loyalty at the counter
Make the reward part of the conversation.
Bring the customer into the sale, then work through points with a program your staff can explain. Loyalty depends on the store’s configured earning and redemption support.
- Link the customer. Choose the correct customer before reviewing loyalty for the sale.
- Review the points. Check the available balance and supported redemption value.
- Explain the rules. Walk through earning, redemption and return examples before launching the program.
Gift cards
A thoughtful gift. A clear balance.
Give the team a place to look up gift cards, check their status and review the available balance. Make the steps as familiar as the gift itself.
- Find the card. Review its code, current status and remaining balance.
- Handle the next visit. Walk through the supported gift-card redemption process with your team.
- Prepare for questions. Confirm issuance, returns, lost cards and any expiry terms for your store.
A clearer daily review
Keep the relationship and the day in view.
Customer history and store reports answer different questions. Bring both into your review to understand the activity recorded at your counter.
- Start with the person. Review the visits and spending recorded on the customer’s profile.
- Review the business day. Use Retail reporting for store sales, tender and item-performance details.
- Plan your communications. Confirm any email or SMS provider, consent process and campaign requirements separately.

A few useful details
Your questions,
answered.
Have a specific setup in mind?
Talk it through with TaplyWhat can I see on a customer record?
Taply Retail includes customer details, recorded visit and spending totals, loyalty points and linked sales. The information shown depends on what has been recorded and associated with that customer.
How do loyalty points work at checkout?
A customer is linked to the sale before the supported earning or redemption steps are used. Your store needs the configured loyalty services and rules. Confirm the exact program, return behavior and plan availability during your walkthrough.
Can my staff look up gift-card balances?
The Retail gift-card workflow includes card lookup, current status, balances and redemption. Review your store’s issuance, redemption, return and access requirements before making a gift-card program available to customers.
Does this include automated email or SMS campaigns?
This page describes Taply Retail customer records, loyalty and gift cards. Automated campaigns, marketing attribution, AI recommendations and third-party marketing connections are not promised here. Bring those requirements to your setup discussion so the supported options can be confirmed.
Can I bring customer or loyalty data from another system?
Review a sample of your current records with the Retail team. Customer imports, historical sales, loyalty balances and gift-card balances need separate confirmation and reconciliation. Do not assume every field or balance will transfer automatically.
