Build around the way your store works.

Choose compatible iPhone, iPad or Android devices for your retail workflow. A tablet can stay at the counter or move with the team; the complete setup still needs the right network, permissions and peripherals.

  • Review the exact device and operating system
  • Keep product lookup and the basket close at hand
  • Choose scanners and printers by connection type
  • Confirm reader and Tap to Pay eligibility

Keep the customer in the conversation.

Look up an item, review the basket and bring the customer’s details into the sale. Plan where a mobile device helps your staff, and where a fixed checkout remains the better fit.

  • Find products by name, SKU or compatible barcode input
  • Review quantities, discounts and sale notes
  • Keep customer and loyalty details with the basket
  • Use the tenders configured for your store

Discuss your Retail setup

Plan your Taply Retail setup with the team, including app availability, devices and merchant requirements. The previews use demonstration data; they do not start a sale or payment.

Your mobile POS questions, answered.

What is a mobile POS?

It is a point-of-sale setup that runs on a portable device such as a compatible phone or tablet. The device, software, payment method and connected equipment need to work together for your store’s particular workflow.

Can I keep a register at the counter as well?

A landscape tablet on a suitable stand can provide a fixed counter setup. Discuss the number of registers, staff access, peripherals and any additional device costs before choosing the mix of fixed and portable devices.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Offline checkout is limited to configured liquor-store cash sales with previously synced rules. It does not support card payments, and stores enforcing alcohol selling hours must reconnect. Plan the outage and recovery procedure for your exact store before launch.

Can I use a phone for payments?

Phone Tap to Pay requires an eligible device, compatible app, supported region and approved merchant setup. Confirm those requirements and reader alternatives with Taply. Ask the team about app access for your store.

What should I include in the quote?

Ask for software, devices, stands, scanners, receipt printers, payment processing, setup services and applicable taxes or shipping as separate items. The Retail pricing page provides the current published starting point.
