Build shifts, reuse a familiar schedule and review coverage before publishing.

Follow working time

Staff scheduling

Give the week
a little more shape.

See the team’s shifts together. Start with a fresh week, copy the last one or use a template, then make room for the details that change.

  • Create and adjust shifts in the weekly schedule.
  • Review coverage rules and scheduling conflicts.
  • Publish the week when the plan is ready to share.

Timeclock & review

The hours behind
a busy day.

A schedule tells you the plan. A time record tells you what was clocked. Keep that distinction clear when it is time to review a shift.

  • Record clock-in and clock-out activity.
  • Compare scheduled time with recorded work.
  • Follow up on missing entries before preparing payroll.

Payroll preparation

Make the end of the period
a clearer handoff.

Start with the people and the period. Prepare a draft, review its entries and export the records for the next part of your payroll process.

  • Set up hourly or salaried staff profiles.
  • Choose weekly, biweekly, semimonthly or monthly periods.
  • Review pay-run lines and prepare a CSV export.

Wage payments and tax filings stay with your payroll provider. Confirm the required export format and calculations for your business.

A few more details.

What can I manage with Taply’s workforce tools?

Plan weekly shifts, publish schedules, review recorded working time and prepare pay runs. Staff profiles and role permissions help you organize who does what across the store.

Can I reuse a schedule?

Copy the previous week or apply a saved schedule template, then adjust the shifts for your team. Review coverage and conflicts before publishing the new week.

Are scheduled hours the same as worked hours?

No. A schedule records the plan; timeclock entries record clock-in and clock-out activity. Review both when preparing a pay period. Publishing a schedule does not prevent an employee from clocking in outside a planned shift.

Which pay periods and staff profiles can I set up?

Payroll preparation includes weekly, biweekly, semimonthly and monthly periods, with hourly or salaried staff profiles. Review the settings, calculations and staff details with the person responsible for your payroll.

Can I review a pay run and export the records?

Build a draft for a pay period, review the staff lines and prepare a CSV export. Pay-run details include recorded hours and editable payroll entries. Confirm the required format with your payroll provider before using an export.

Does Taply send wages or file payroll taxes?

Taply Retail supports payroll preparation. Wage payments, tax filings and payroll compliance remain with your payroll provider and your business. Marking a pay run as paid is a record-keeping action; it does not transfer funds.
