Separate the print requirements
Guest receipts and product labels use different layouts and equipment. Bring the exact printer models, paper or label sizes and intended device to the discussion. Confirm supported receipt and label protocols rather than assuming one printer can serve every purpose.
Review the connection
Discuss the supported Wi-Fi or Bluetooth setup for the selected receipt printer and the label workflow your store needs. Confirm ESC/POS or ZPL requirements where relevant. A USB connector on the equipment does not, on its own, establish direct USB support in the app.
Check everyday print samples
Print a typical basket and a product label before rollout. Review totals, long names, barcode readability and paper alignment. Ask how staff should handle an offline printer or a requested copy, and make that process part of the counter’s opening checklist.
