One catalog starts with one clear source.

Questions to settle before you connect online selling with your in-store operation.

Choose who owns each field

Decide where item names, descriptions, prices, photos and availability will be maintained. When two systems can edit the same information, staff need a clear rule for which one is authoritative. Document that rule before importing a catalog.

Define the unit being sold

Variants, bundles and pack sizes need stable identities across channels. A product name alone may not be enough to connect records. Prepare a clean list of identifiers and make unusual items part of the implementation discussion.

Ask about timing and exceptions

Ask how changes reach each channel and how failures become visible. Discuss out-of-stock items, cancellations and conflicting edits. A connection should be evaluated through its exception handling as well as its routine updates.

Confirm the integration you actually need

A marketing page about online selling does not establish compatibility with your storefront. Share the name and version of the system you use, then confirm the specific supported workflow with the Taply team before planning a rollout.
