Your questions,
answered.
What is a point-of-sale system?
A point-of-sale system combines the software and equipment used to work through a sale. Depending on the product, it can also support menu or catalog management, inventory, staff workflows and business reporting.
Which Taply product should I explore?
Restaurant covers restaurant service workflows. Retail covers independent and specialty store workflows. Station is a fuel and convenience-store back office with Linq connections for supported sites.
Does every task work without internet?
Connectivity requirements vary by product, task and payment setup. Confirm the documented fallback for your exact workflow and equipment before relying on it during an interruption.
Is the payment processor the same as the POS?
They have different roles. The POS supports the sale and its records; the payment service handles the supported payment method. Review account eligibility, readers and product requirements as part of setup.
Does Station replace a fuel register?
No. Taply Station is presented as a back office for supported station connections. It does not replace the fuel POS, forecourt controller or payment register.
