Make the business-day review a daily habit.

A focused review of station reporting, fuel activity and merchandise exceptions.

Agree which day you are reviewing

A calendar day and a station business day are not always the same period. Start by checking the location and business-day boundaries used in each report. Comparing different periods creates differences that look operational but are really timing issues.

Review the exceptions first

Keep a short list of the items that need an explanation: unexpected merchandise movement, an invoice difference, a missing closeout or a fuel-price change that needs confirmation. Assign an owner and keep the supporting record with the question.

  • Correct location and business date
  • Available sales and fuel records
  • Unresolved invoice or receiving differences
  • Notes and follow-up ownership

Keep the back office in its role

Taply Station is a back-office workspace that uses Taply Linq for supported site connections. It is not a replacement for the station’s fuel POS or forecourt controller. Review the site’s connection and update state when comparing information across systems.

Carry forward a short action list

A daily review should produce a few clear actions, not a second reporting system. Record what needs attention, who is responsible and what evidence will resolve it. Revisit open items at the next review rather than silently changing completed records.
